Spring Clean Up – Workday – May 15 10 am-2:30 pm

One Faith, One Family –
Faith Lutheran Church and School

Faith is so excited to start the bible study ”The Purpose Driven Life”. This study suggests that these purposes are worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry, and mission and that they are derived from the Great Commandment and the Great Commission. What a better way to celebrate this awesome study than by Faith Lutheran Church and School announcing a Day of Service? It seems like it’s been forever since we experienced normal! We can have a day of service at the church and make it as “normal” as possible. We have so many exciting things planned for the day! There will be something for everyone! We have selected Saturday, May 15th from 10:00-2:30 to spruce up our campus! Nothing that a little TLC can’t change. Bring your (well-marked with your name!!!) shovels, rakes, gloves, hammers, chainsaws, whatever you think can be used with the list below to make the day easier for our volunteers. There will be a light lunch provided or feel free to bring your own!

The following is a list of tasks that the church and school have come up with for the day. We may not get through everything, however we think that with some enthusiasm, we can knock it out relatively quickly!

  1. Planting flowers on the grounds.
  2. Remove some unused bulletin boards and touch up walls.
  3. Filling 225 bags for the food pantry for delivery on the 18th. Also, if you are available to help deliver or hand out bags at the pantry on the 18th at 1:00 email me at umphrey.colleen@gmail.com
  4. Cleaning out the Social Ministry Closet and possibly installing shelves.
  5. Removal of a few trees that are on the playground and which are leaning or downed near the fence.
  6. Clean up brush that is behind the cypress trees lining the soccer field.

Faith’s PTL Board has come up with a list of items they would like done to improve the play areas for our children and, with a little cleanup, they will be able to begin working on some of these plans. Our campus just needs a little time for some “Spring Clean Up”.
