Do you love life?
Psalm 34:12-16 (NIV) 12 Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days,13 keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking lies.14 Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.15 The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their cry;16 the face of the LORD is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth.
Do you love life? I hope you do! You’re alive, you are reading this. You are living life. Do you love life? Most of the time. Honest, there are some moments, days, months, and even years when “life” is difficult, hard, a burden. BUT, given the choice, most of us would “choose life.”
Why? Life is good.
EVERY LIFE is a gift from God.
Job 33:4 (ESV) 4 The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.
1 Timothy 6:13 (ESV) “…God, who gives life to all things…”
You have life because of Christ, the LIFE-GIVER!
John 1:4 (ESV) 4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men.
John 10:10 (ESV) I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.
Your Life belongs to God. It is not yours to do as you please, but rather as that which pleases God.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (NIV) 19 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you
have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.
Why all this talk about LIFE? This Sunday, across our nation, is LIFE Sunday.
CHERISH LIFE. With those we are blessed to share life with.
CELEBRATE LIFE. If you don’t celebrate it, you just find out you’ve taken it for granted.
CHOOSE LIFE.
Deuteronomy 30:19 (ESV) 19 I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live,
We CHOOSE LIFE. In so doing, we stand up for life. All life, every life, everywhere, from the womb to the tomb!
