Happy new year! It’s a great time to start some “new” habits or pick up some old ones that we’ve set aside. One of the most important habits that a disciple of Christ can have is a Daily Time with God. Spending time daily growing in the knowledge of God, in living the Word and loving the Word is essential to our faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus makes two promises about His Word in our lives. “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:31-32 (NIV) “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.” Luke 11:28 (NIV) We’re starting our new year together in worship this Sunday, January 3 at all services. We using a series entitled, “40 days in the Word,” written by Rick Warren. Workbooks are $10 and they have all you need for daily individual study and for group study. It is a great way to start the new year – “40 Days in the Word.” Pastor Carl |
