The Lutheran Women in Missionary League (LWML)—also known as Lutheran Women in Mission—is the official women’s organization of the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod (LCMS). For over 80 years, the organization has focused on helping every woman find her unique, God-given purpose in ministry and missions.
Our Core Focus:
- Mission Support: Raising funds to support local, national, and global mission grants.
- Faith Growth: Providing Bible studies, devotionals, and resources to deepen your relationship with God.
- Active Service: Leading hands-on service projects that directly impact communities in need.
- Christian Fellowship: Connecting women of all ages for encouragement, mentorship, and support.
The Mite Box Tradition
Based on the biblical story of the widow’s mite, members gather loose change in small “Mite Boxes.” These small individual offerings combine to fund millions of dollars in mission grants worldwide, providing food, medical care, and the Gospel to those who need it most.

“god of all comfort” zone rally – october 3, 2026
The LWML Atlanta Zone Rally will be held at Faith Lutheran this fall.
Gifts from the Heart will be smaller stuffed animals for local Police and Fire Departments, these gifts are given to children who have experienced traumatic events. More information will be announced over the coming months.
Our ladies have been very busy creating beautiful table runners, bags, and quilts. They make wonderful, unique gifts and proceeds go to support our local missions.
