Are you afraid of being exposed?
Are you too broken to be fixed?
Is your sin too big for God to forgive?
The Psalmist wrote, My guilt has overwhelmed me like a burden too heavy to bear. Psalm 38:4 (NIV)
You don't have to be a pack mule to experience the burdens of life.
Even Paul reminds us,
For while we are in this tent, we groan and are burdened, because we do not wish to be unclothed but to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. 2 Corinthians 5:4 (NIV)
But we don’t have to wait for eternal lighten the load. Jesus invites,
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28 (NIV)
By grace and faith we discover.
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. Galatians 5:1 (NIV)
Join us for our next worship series, “Burdened”, June 16, 23, & 30. We’ll explore God’s means for living a life unburdened by sin. It all starts here:
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7 (NIV)
In the name of the caring Jesus Christ,
Pastor Carl
