Christ is Risen! Truly, He is Risen!

Christos Anesti! Alithos Anesti!

“Christ is Risen! Truly, He is Risen!” It has been the Easter greeting by our Greek brothers and sisters in the faith for nearly two millennia. But the Greeks weren’t the first to say it. Angels were the first say it,

Luke 24:3-8 (NIV) 3 but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4 While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. 5 In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, "Why do you look for the living among the dead? 6 He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: 7 'The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.'" 8 Then they remembered his words.

We continue that “tradition” every Easter and greet one another, "Christ Is Risen! He Is Risen Indeed!"

If you are a guest with us today, we rejoice that you have joined with us in our celebration of Earth’s greatest day, the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. Faith is a wonderful church family. If you[cs1] don’t have a church family where you are connected to Jesus, we invite you to make Faith your church family. Our Connecting to Jesus Class is offered every Sunday at 9:30-10:30 during our Sunday School hour. You can register or find more information about it on our website.

Next Sunday we start are new worship series – Alive. The resurrection of Jesus Christ changed the world and it has changed us and we’ll be looking at how Christ’s resurrection has made us Alive!
Romans 6:10-11 (NIV) 10 The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God. 11 In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
It all starts next Sunday. We hope you can join with us!

Welcome in the name of the Risen Savior, Jesus Christ! "Christ Is Risen! He Is Risen Indeed!"
